Luxury in Miami
Let's face it, the idea of staying at a 5 star hotel and getting pampered for 24 hours appeals to pretty much anyone. But how do you know where to go? If you are looking for the perfect luxury getaway in Miami then the Intercontinental Miami is for you.
Last weekend I had the pleasure of staying at the Intercontinental in Miami, where club level is a must for any luxury stay. One thing that I really love about this hotel is the amazing service from start to finish. Right when I pulled up the friendly valets and doormen were there to help me with anything I needed as I got checked in. After arriving at my suite I immediately got a call from the club level concierge asking me if they could assist me with anything and they explained all of the amenities and bonuses I would get during my stay. I headed to the club level lounge and enjoyed the endless breakfast buffet that was being served while the attentive waitstaff made sure I had everything I needed to start my day.
After eating my body weight in delicious food I threw on my complimentary fluffy robe and headed down to the spa for some pampering. The spa employees explained all the treatments to me while offering me a variety of different infused waters. I spent the rest of my morning relaxing to calming music in the sauna and steam room and playing in the rain shower.
Around noon I went out to the pool deck. With a cute restaurant and bar that overlook the ocean and numerous cabanas to reserve, the pool area at Intercontinental is the perfect spot to unwind in the sun. I spent some time enjoying my cabana while sipping on champagne and listening to the palm trees in the wind. The perfect tropical vacation!
Once back upstairs, I was greeted by an assortment of nuts and chocolates and a perfectly cleaned room. With one call to the concierge I set up a rental car and a reservation at a restaurant for dinner. The concierge set me up with my dream car from Miami Art Cars, the luxury car rental service that is located in the lobby of the hotel itself. The car was waiting for me downstairs and it was everything I could have hoped for. Working primarily with the hottest luxury cars, Miami Art Cars also worked very closely with Air Commander providing vehicles, planes, and helicopters for potshots and events. They are definitely picture perfect
Adding to my luxury weekend I decided to spoil myself and have dinner at one of my favorite spots in town. Mandolin Aegean Bistro is a unique mix of Turkish and Greek food. Even though it has expanded a lot in the past few years this restaurant has managed to keep its charm. If you go I 100% recommend getting the octopus, it is to die for!
Back at the hotel I decided to end my night with Happy Hour in the club level lounge. With amazing wine, cocktails, beer, and little appetizers, the lounge is the perfect laid back environment for a late night. In the morning I was once again reminded of why I love the Intercontinental. With a beautiful breakfast in bed, I spent my morning being lazy and enjoying my croissants. And yes, I did eat all of that food.
There are billions of hotels out there that offer luxury stays but the most important thing to remember is that a stay isn't just the hotel, it is the experience. I know it sounds super corny but for me, nothing makes a hotel stay more luxurious than amazing service!
